Following are the area classifications that are met and the definition of what is supplied. ATEX Compatible Equipment For European StandardsMost K-Tron modular screw feeders, K4G blending systems, Smart Weigh Belt feeders and Smart Flow Meters are available in ATEX compliant versions. Standard pricing is available for many of K-Tron's standard screw feeders for Zones 1/2 for gas and 21/22 for dust environments. Projects that require Zone 0/20 are specially engineered -- please consult factory for details. Please note that it is important to differentiate between the zone classifications outside the feeder (environment) and inside the feeder (process) since these are not necessarily the same and affect different parts of the equipment. NEC Compatible Equipment For North American StandardsMost K-Tron modular screw feeders, K4G blending systems, Smart Weigh Belt feeders and Smart Flow Meters are available in NEC compliant versions. Key components of K-Tron feeders are available for Class I and II, Division 1 and 2 environments.
